Simulation of Aging and Disability
Understanding better to better support
As part of the aging simulation, we particularly recommend the purchase of :
• Overshoes, for the simulation of the hesitant and uncertain gait of the elderly.
Overshoes can also be used for the simulation of hemiparesis in order to simulate the handicap following a stroke of an elderly person and for the simulation of back-lumbar problems for the simulation of the back problems of an elderly person.
• Suitcase, for storage and transport of multiple very heavy items.
An important part of aging simulation, which can also be used for various disability simulations.
Simulating an unsteady gait using our overshoes creates a sense of insecurity and instability when walking. Overshoes reduce traction and make balance more difficult. For example, they can simulate slippery surfaces or uneven structures to challenge the wearer and help them better understand the difficulties experienced by older people and those with an unsteady gait.
An unsteady gait can be caused by a variety of factors. Here are some common reasons:
Age: With age, balance and coordination can deteriorate, leading to an unsteady gait.
Muscle and joint problems: Pain or weakness in the legs, hips, or knees can make walking difficult and cause instability.
Impaired vision: Reduced vision can make it difficult to detect obstacles and judge distances.
Neurological diseases: Diseases such as Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, or stroke can affect coordination and balance.
Effects of medications: Some medications can cause dizziness or drowsiness, which can increase unsteady gait.
Environmental factors: Uneven surfaces, poor lighting, or obstacles in the path can also cause unsteady gait.
Simulation of severely restricted knee mobility that develops as a result of extreme pathological or sporting stress.
Can be used with the combination of age simulation and the various disability simulations.
Severely restricted knee mobility can be caused by a variety of factors:
Osteoarthritis: A degenerative joint disease that causes pain and restricted mobility.
Meniscus injuries: Meniscus tears can severely limit knee mobility.
Ligament injuries: Injuries to the cruciate ligaments or collateral ligaments can also cause instability and pain.
Inflammatory diseases: Conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis can cause swelling and restricted movement.
Knee joint stiffness: After injuries or surgeries, a contracture can occur, preventing the knee from being fully extended or flexed.
We offer you an additional cervical collar with a protective cover and disposable replacement covers.
It can be used to simulate age and also to simulate our different disabilities.
Especially for the Hemiparesis Simulator and our back pain simulation.
We recommend purchasing the suitcase to make it easier to transport the aging simulator.
Since our aging simulator kit consists of a multitude of heavy elements, the suitcase fulfills this task wonderfully, as it is specially designed for heavy materials.
Extra thick hard shell suitcase made of ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene), with a scratch-resistant surface, with 4 double rotating wheels for optimal mobility. It is equipped with strong zippers and a telescopic handle for comfortable maneuvering.
The expandable design offers up to 25% more packing capacity (expands to 54.5 cm). The layout consists of a fully lined interior with a divider. Interior organizer made of 150D polyester with 3 zippered pockets.
You can store a multitude of additional materials in the case, whether it is the accessories for the aging simulation suit and/or the glasses set, the tinnitus simulation and/or our tremor simulation.
We also provide lightweight sports bags for the back pain simulator and the hemiparesis simulation.
You can also use the case for all our disability simulations.
